About Us

At Southpoint, it all begins with love.

Our
Community

Our gatherings are simple yet thoughtful. They flow from a loving desire for kinship with God, people, and Creation.

At Southpoint, it all begins with God’s Love. Having received God’s love, we feel compelled to share this love in tangible ways. We offer a warm, wide, fully inclusive welcome. We encourage curiosity, wondering, questions, storytelling, and companionship as vehicles for growth as we walk the way of Jesus together. Our gatherings are simple yet thoughtful and flow from a loving desire for kinship with God, people, and creation. Our mission is to cultivate this kinship in just, authentic, and embodied ways.

Curiosity, wondering, questions, and storytelling are vehicles for our growth. We find our way, together.

Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate kinship with God, people, and Creation in just, authentic and embodied ways.

We want to be by Jesus’ side, mending the net of connection between God, people, and Creation, one strand at a time. We want to open up space where love invites us into kinship and seats us at a table that keeps growing.

Jesus said, “Come, all you who are thirsty.” So, we seek to extend this warm wide welcome to all.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.” So, we create tables where people can feel wanted and loved by God.”

Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed.” So, we pay attention to small things and watch for new life flourishing.

Jesus said, “Love your neighbour as yourself.” So, we love and serve our kin, human and otherwise.

Living within this sense of kinship connects us to all life. Caring for our kin, human and nonhuman, is holy and rehumanizing labour. Our mission is to cultivate this kinship in just, authentic, and embodied ways.

At our core, we long for connection. Jesus came to mend the fragmentation within us and between us. As we stand in the flow of Love and care for life, human and nonhuman, we participate in the life of Jesus, who mends all things.
